FINANCIAL LITERACY EDUCATION

We prepare women and youth to understand the formal financial system and develop their technical skills to be responsible users of the new financial services to invest in their agricultural businesses.

Our Curriculum topics include:

  • Financial planning and management
  • Budgeting
  • Savings
  • Formal financial services
  • Debt Management
  • Record Keeping debt management
  • insurance
  • group governance & systems

The financial literacy training and mentoring is aimed at improving the financial capability of the rural women and youth to manage their personal and household finances as well as use formal financial services responsibly to avoid the risk of indebtedness. We incorporate video to deliver content to trainees to ensure a uniformed message, the majority of whom are unable to read.

This curriculum provides the foundation to then explore new financial services and business growth.
