Mr. Lawrence Sentongo
Mr Lawrence Ssentongo is a MSME Finance Expert with the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He is currently working as Resident Advisor for the ‘Rural Financial Enhancement Program aka “A Rural Challenge Fund”, implemented on behalf of the Agribusiness Initiative Trust in Uganda. Overseeing the Rural Challenge Fund deepened his understanding of agribusiness private sector development through the provision of appropriate funding facilities to MSMEs such as Savings and Credit Cooperatives and commercial banks to serve their rural based clients. Lawrence has over 14 years’ professional experience in MSME banking and microfinance, management of development finance projects in sub-Saharan Africa and MSME Capacity building and Training in credit operations, product development and strategic planning. He has also worked in various capacities in the banking sector including Head of Business MSME for GT Bank (formerly Fina Bank) and Credit Risk Manager as well as Head of Corporate Credit Equity Bank Uganda. Lawrence has worked in several countries including Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Southern Sudan, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Zambia, Rwanda. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Development Studies from Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi, and a BA in Social Sciences from Makerere University Kampala, Uganda. He has post graduate training in microfinance and SME banking from various local and international institutions including the Boulder Institute of Microfinance in Turin, Italy and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Germany.

Christine Subbi
Christine K. Suubi is founder and Executive Director of HOPEIN, a development and training consulting firm.   She commands considerable experience as a Consultant in development work where she provides technical assistance in different areas. Christine is an expert trainer in training of trainers, with over ten (10) years’ experience in business development/entrepreneurship Skills (BDS) including Village Savings and Loan association VSLA), financial literacy and advanced business development skills training. Christine is very experienced in designing training materials and training manuals/hand books, mentoring and coaching of staff and a specialist in community based financial services and commercial microfinance.  Ms Suubi holds a Master’s Degree in Social Sector Planning and Management (SSPM) majoring in Designing, Evaluation and Review of Public Policies, Projects and Programmes and Development Strategies and Financial management from Makerere University, Kampala; and a B.A. in Sociology from Makerere University. She has post graduate training in credit management as well as formation and capacity building of Voluntary Savings and Loans Associations..

Joan Kabayambi
Joan Kabayambi is an independent consultant has over 18 years of experience in strategic planning, program management and organization development with both public and private organisations. Joan is a health anthropologist with experiences in research, including commissioning & conducting baseline, midterm & end of project evaluations. She is experienced in community project and programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation, project planning, management, writing reports and dissemination. Joan’s work evolves from working with grass root communities to project/programme level management This enriched her understanding of the dynamics and strategies that facilitate working with communities, local, national and International organizations as well as local government structures. She has also been central in coordinating partnerships and networks with government & non-governmental organizations as well as donors. Joan has led and participated in the design and execution of operational research and other studies within the areas of agriculture, women empowerment, governance, health, education, economic empowerment, water and sanitation and makes recommendations for action. Ms. Kabayambi brings broad experiences in setting baselines and evaluating projects, using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, conducting extensive studies, data analysis and report writing. Joan is currently pursuing a PhD in Development studies with special focus on maternal disabilities (obstetric fistula), at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. She is a graduated of a Master in Public Health leadership MPHL (2009), Post – Masters Fellowship Makerere University-College of Health Sciences School of Public Health in Health programming and leadership. Post Graduate Diplomas in Project Planning Management (2002), Research Methods (2007), Monitoring and Evaluation (2010), and Human Resource Management

Josephine Mazzi Namayanja
Dr. Josephine Mazzi Namayanja is an Assistant Professor of Management Science and Information Systems in the College of Management at University of Massachusetts, Boston. She received her Ph.D in Information Systems at University of Maryland, Baltimore County in May 2015 where she also received her M.S in Information Systems in May 2010. She received her B.S in Information Technology from Makerere University Kampala in Uganda in May 2007. She has a broad interest in research primarily in data mining where her work poses potential benefits in the domain of cyber security. She has also worked on research in healthcare where she has proposed methods that can be utilized in disease management and patient care. Her research has been published in prestigious venues and has also been recommended by principle scientists in the domain as well as voted among the top articles in the domain. She is currently working on various research-related projects in to enhance technological advancements in healthcare, cyber security and economic growth and development in developing countries.

Florence Sempebwa Makada
Florence Sempebwa Makada is the Managing Director of MOTORCARE Uganda Ltd, a subsidiary of KJAER GROUP. She served as the Finance and Business Planning Manager, responsible for driving the company financial strategy, a role she successfully managed until promoted to the position of managing director. Florence has worked with the same company for 21 years in various leadership roles including Deputy Finance Manager, Finance Manager and Human Resource Development Manager, and has therefore has substantial experience in strategic management, Finance, Human Resources, business planning and management. As a female business leader in Uganda, Florence believes in hard work and in the capability of women to climb the corporate through hard work. Ms. Makada is member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of UK-FCCA. She holds also holds an Executive MBA from the University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa. She holds a Bsc. with First Class Honors in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University-U.K.
