
Pamela Tuniza
Pamela Tuniza represents young refugee women on the Board of Directors for Shared Action Africa. She also serves as the youth representative and mobilizer on the leadership committee for the Refugee Women’s Collective in Nakivale and Oruchinga Refugee Settlements. Additionally, she is a member of the Nakivale Sewing Centre, a partner organization that collaborates with Shared Action Africa to provide technical and hands-on training to young refugee girls in fashion design and garment making. Pamela is also a peer educator, supporting fellow young girls on issues related to reproductive health, economic empowerment, life skills, gender-based violence, and conflict resolution. Her vision is to establish a tailoring workshop where she can train other young women in tailoring as well as arts and crafts..
Pamela arrived in Uganda as a young refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2018 and was resettled in Nakivale Refugee Settlement. She currently serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Refugee Women’s Collective in Nakivale.
