Wilfred Kibwota

Chief Programs Officer

Wilfred Kibwota holds a Bachelor degree in Statistics and Economics, and a Masters in Development Management. He has gained over 20 years of experience in humanitarian and development work in a number of countries, mainly in Africa. Wilfred has managed country programme portfolios, leading programme teams to deliver programmes. He is a programme quality enthusiast with specialist strengths in programme design and monitoring and evaluation. He has developed and managed M&E systems in multi-sector environments, in both development and humanitarian contexts, and he has both conducted and commissioned evaluation studies. He has facilitated the development of country strategies, led the design of programmes and supported structured learning processes.  He has played roles in the institutional development of partner organizations and consortia.

Wilfred is an active team player who has nurtured teams to thrive in challenging work environments and supporting teams to keep technically engaged, hence contributing to beneficial work-life balance that reduces stress. He brings an extensive experience in business development, monitoring and evaluation, and developing project proposals, hence contributing to SAA’s programme quality and fundraising efforts.
